Four Tips for a successful event

FOUR TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL EVENT

  1. Follow the Golden Rule. We do. This means treat your caterer as you would like to be treated. Sure, that sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how excited people can become right before a big event. Stay calm, be flexible, be kind and appreciative, and we’ll take care of all the details for you. In spite of the fact that we cater more than 2,000 events a year, your event will get our 100% attention. The rumor is… that “super nice” customers are likely to notice various “free” items at their event… Our appreciation of your niceness! Your last minute changes, additions and unforeseen event complexities, are always greeted with open arms and a smile…when you are kind and considerate!
  2. Book early. Call or email us as soon as you know about your event. Then, please be patient as we work through our stack of event requests. We promise yours is in the pile, and we promise not to overlook you. Once you do receive an estimate from us, sign it immediately if you want us to hold the event date for you. Revisions can come later, so don’t panic. Each estimate has a deadline for changes, mark that on your calendar.
  3. Be fair and reasonable with your requests. We love catering and we love food. We don’t even mind starting our work before daylight or unloading vans at 3 am in the rain. However, our profit margin is small, approximately ten percent, that is, when we do not lose a pair of tongs or have a flat tire. It helps us when you disclose your budget. We’ll be happy to assist you in selecting the appropriate menu, in your price range. We just ask that you be realistic, and that you understand our need to make a profit.
  4. Communicate with us via email. In order for us to be efficient and productive, we do the majority of our event communication via email. This facilitates a quicker back-and-forth communication process and saves time for all of us. Plus, it helps us more accurately plan your event when you read our emails and attachments thoroughly. In turn, we prefer to verify your event details in writing, via your e-mails.
